Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) (2014)
Objective: A flagship financial inclusion program to ensure access to banking services, savings accounts, remittances, credit, insurance, and pensions, especially for the unbanked. Over 50 crore bank accounts were opened under this scheme.
Make in India (2014)
Objective: A national initiative to transform India into a global manufacturing hub by encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI) and creating a conducive environment for businesses. It spans 25 sectors, including IT, defense, and pharmaceuticals.
Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (2020)
Objective: An economic initiative aimed at self-reliance through comprehensive reforms in agriculture, manufacturing, and MSMEs. It includes financial aid and a push toward indigenous production across various sectors.
Mudra Yojana (2015)
Objective: Provides collateral-free loans up to ₹10 lakhs to non-corporate, small/micro enterprises under three categories: Shishu, Kishor, and Tarun. This initiative supports entrepreneurial growth in rural and urban areas.
Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) (2018)
Objective: The world's largest health assurance scheme, providing free healthcare coverage of up to ₹5 lakhs per family annually for secondary and tertiary hospitalization for economically vulnerable groups.
Mission Indradhanush (2014
Objective: Aims to immunize children under the age of two and pregnant women against vaccine-preventable diseases, achieving over 90% coverage in targeted areas.
Skill India Mission (2015)
Objective: Targets skilling over 40 crore people by 2022 in industry-relevant domains, including IT, construction, and healthcare, to boost employability and entrepreneurship.
Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (2018)
Objective: An overarching program that integrates elementary, secondary, and teacher education, focusing on universal access, equity, and quality improvement.
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) (2015)
Objective: Enhances irrigation coverage, improves water use efficiency, and ensures ‘Har Khet Ko Pani’ (Water for every field). Includes micro-irrigation and watershed development.
PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi (2019)
Objective: Direct cash transfer of ₹6,000 per year in three installments to small and marginal farmers to ensure income support.
